    Don’t Miss a Thing

    𝐍𝐨.𝟑 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬?

Pinterest boards is a collection of Pins. Some examples of Boards:
• Categories such as “recipes,” “DIY projects,” etc
• Projects like “living room inspiration” • Travel Inspiration, for example we did one for our Big Sur Roadtrip
• Themed (color, same objects, etc)

Board Anatomy;
1) Board Cover (set a main cover image to represent that board)
2) Board Title (make sure it’s a phrase people search for)
3) Board Description (a great place to add keywords for SEO)
4) Your collection of pins

I’ve been thinking or partnering with Skillshare for a while now (we’re even partners with my @gracebelle brand - dm me for a coupon). I’ll be able to list my Pinterest course on there and make it extremely affordable for everyone while I benefit from the large audience of Skillshare and get paid by them instead. It’s a win-win with you getting an amazing deal on my course and I’m able to still make a living. 🥳 ⠀
⠀
I’m currently in the process of setting up my classes and will announce it on my stories when it’s all ready. 😬 ***𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: here’s the link to the classes and 2 months free to skillshare https://www.skillshare.com/r/user/lorinadaiana 🙃

Getting down to the basics of Pinterest for this one but much needed.
A Pin is a visual representation of a product or idea which someone saves for later use on a Pinterest board. Imagine an actual pin board and you putting a magazine image on it. ⠀

The anatomy of a pin:

Any questions?
Ya’ll know how much I love coffee shops but do y Ya’ll know how much I love coffee shops but do you know why? It’s not because of coffee, even though a pretty latte is so aesthetic. It’s because of the community, the connections, and the things that happen when people come together. 😍 After learning about my enneagram I realized why I love community so much (Enneagram 9). I always loved working with others and doing something greater. This time around I’m partnering with @delaplanning (and all those I tagged) to put together an educational event for the wedding industry. We’ll have a beautiful event setup thanks to all the people involved, and I’ll be able to share more of what I’ve learned with Pinterest. I’m so excited for this and many more events like it. 😍
𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨.𝟏 - Are Pinterest Images Free To Use?
This was THE number one question people searched for on Google about Pinterest. ⠀
⠀
To clarify, the question is really two parts. People who want to use images they found on Pinterest within their own marketing AND People who want to know if they're allowed to use other people's images on Pinterest (aka repinning). Let's first focus on the first question - "Can you use images from Pinterest for your own marketing?" The quick answer is no. The long answer is, Pinterest does not own the copyright of the images but the original sites themselves do. There might be some sites that allow the use of images but it will be hard to track down. You're better off using Unsplash.com to find great, free, stock images. ⠀
⠀
The second question was something that surprised me a bit. It's the idea of "can we use other people's pins on our own Pinterest profile?" and I guess it does make sense why someone would ask this when it's frowned upon on other social platforms. Pinterest, however, is made for you to share other people's content by "repinning" and as you're starting out your profile, the majority of the content will be repinned and not your own. The ratio of your pins vs repins depends on your business and content, however, generally, it's around 80% repins and 20% your own content.

A friend of mine recommended me for a workshop (thank you @sourced_collective) and that led me to be the main speaker! 🙆🏻‍♀️ So excited and can’t wait to continue teaching this niche in marketing. 😌❤️
